Meet the Family

We’re the Højgaard Pedersen family – Lone and Jan Robert and three daughters Ann, Lise and Maria. We’re from Esbjerg, on the southwest coast of Denmark.

As the daughters have grown up and started lives of their own, we found ourselves wanting somewhere to come back to. Somewhere that felt like home, and that would hold the next generation of long lunches, family gatherings, and walks on the beach.

So in 2024, we built a summerhouse in Sjelborg, a few kilometres from Lise, Ann, and Maria grew up. A year later, in 2025, we found a chalet on the slopes of Trysilfjellet in Norway. Sjelborg had given us the long Danish summers; Trysil promised the snow, the hikes and the long candle-lit evenings of winter. We bought it as a family.

Now we open both of them to yours. We rent them out because the best memories are made in places that already feel loved. And these places are deeply loved. Walk in, kick off your boots, light the fire. We hope you’ll feel right at home.
